Day 16

80 miles.  Bardstown to Double L grocery.  I'm in the rolling hills section of Kentucky now.  I saw more horses than people today.  I had a few extra bonus miles due to a navigational error.  I am camping at a small country store.  They even have a shower you can use.   A bunch of locals  sit around the store  and tell stories.  It's a real hoot to listen to them.   I saw my first Amish horse and buggy on the road.

  1. Bet you could WOW those locals with stories of your own! Nice of them to be so accommodating though. The countryside looks beautiful. Love the horses........Ride safe!

  2. I loved hearing about your afternoon at the store listening to what was probably some very good storytellers. Seeing all the horses instead of coal trucks and wild dogs must make for a much more enjoyable ride! Sweet dreams! Btw, Abigail says good night! :):) xoxo
