55 miles. Mineral to Charolettesville. Perfect weather again. Beautiful ride through rural Virginia. Got hilly at the end. Staying at a hostel tonight. Got in at 2:00 so I had time for laundry and Mexican food. Jerry from last night is staying here as well. We rode together most of the day. Yesterday we had a lady stop her car at an intersection and got out. She was waving her arms like she needed help. We stopped and she asked if we were cross country cyclists. She said that her husband had done it years ago and that if she ever saw touring riders she should invite them to the house. She was so excited to see us. It was early so we just talked for a minute, thanked her and rode on. Trail magic.

ReplyDeleteI can't believe they have free wifi at a laundromat in Maggie Valley. The girls were excited about the first Flat Allie, Flat Kelly, and Flat Annie sighting.
