Day 34

58 miles.  Tribune, Kansas to Eads, Colorado.  I got an early start and had an easy day.  Glad to be in Colorado, state number 6.  I camped with Travis and Bob in the park last night.  On the road today I met Dave and Erin.  They are on their honeymoon and are cycling around the country for 4 months.  The flat cornfields turned to sage brush shortly after we crossed the state line.  Eads has a town pool so I will be spending the afternoon there.  Two more days to Pueblo and then the climbing starts again.  I'm at over 4200 feet in elevation now.  We will be camping in the park again tonight.

  1. Can't believe how many people are out there cycling around the country! Its like a slow version of motorcycling........you see and smell and enjoy the scenery so much more than flying by in a car. Enjoy it while you can. You're making good progress.

  2. Thanks again, Tom, for these wonderful trip reports. Is fun to see things through your eyes - especially the people that you are meeting. I always knew you were a people person. Down deep. Well hidden.
